![]() It's a great alternative if you need something secure and free, but don't need all the bells and whistles of a traditional password management application. All your data, where you need it: - Store usernames and passwords and LastPass will log you in automatically - Fill forms quickly by saving your addresses, credit card numbers and more - Save passports, insurance cards and anything else you want to keep safe - All your data is available on any device for free - Anything you save on one device. I'm left with having to manually log out when I leave this Win 10 computer or when I come back later I'm still logged into Lastpass. Both of these are suggested and preferred by. I've contacted Lastpass and gotten a none response response. The result is a free and extremely secure password management tool. These do not store passwords, they generate passwords as you need them. MasterPasswordApp & LessPass: (I've used MasterPasswordApp but LessPass is similar). In my opinion for a secure, free option, Bitwarden is better than KeePass. Only concern I have is that it hasn't been audited by a third-party yet, but it's open source so I'm less concerned. I'll also go ahead and plug two other password managers I use for other reasons:Ä«itwarden: Free (or $10/yr if you want a couple more options) and you can host it yourself. The recent update to 1password 7 added password security breach alerts, weak password analysis, Windows Hello login, and 2FA (note 1password already uses a secondary secure token, so 2FA is largely redundant for 1password). Your Vault data will be re-encrypted, then you will be logged out of LastPass. When prompted, enter your Master Password and click Confirm. For the Password Iterations field (under Security), enter 100100 (the standard number by default) Click Update. The security is just-as-good if not better than LastPass, so the lack of options was not a concern for me, especially if I know I'm getting a less buggy product. Select Account Settings in the left navigation. Head over to the 1password subreddit and you can see just how involved the developers are with the community. The security whitepaper, the polished product, and the great customer support won me over. 1password is definitely a "simpler" option compared to LastPass, in the sense that maybe it isn't as option-rich, but I have had no issues.
